Protecting your identity in Christ

Who am I? That is a valid question. Do you see yourself as the sum-total of your life experiences up to this point, or do you see yourself as God sees you? Have you allowed life to mold you and shape you into the person you are? Or are you exercising faith in God’s word and embracing what He has called you to be?

Life’s experience has a loud voice. If we are not careful, we can allow life to speak louder than truth, and let life define who we are, instead of what God has called us to be. Who we are, is determined by what we believe, and what we believe is subject to change according to the voices we allow to speak into our life.

The voices we allow in our life, determines the realm of influence we are subject to. We will serve the strongest and most influential voices that are speaking in our life. This is our created design. It is therefore, extremely important what, and who we allow to influence us. We must be very selective of the voices we allow access in our lives.

We are created to believe; therefore, we will believe in something, it is our nature. We are hard-wired by our creator as people of faith. Faith can unites us to something greater than ourselves, it brings us under the service and mastery of something greater than we are as individuals. Faith enables us to become what we believe.

We choose what to believe, and this alone determines who we serve. There are only two basic choices. Serve God, or serve our self, believe that He knows best, or believe that we know best. Who we serve determines who we are. It is the master that determines what his servant will be, the servant does not define himself, his master chooses his role, his service, his function, his work, and determines the quality of the servant’s life. Therefore, we must choose our master well. Our identity is determined by our master’s voice.

Confusion comes when we serve ourselves, trying to fill the role of servant and master at the same time. We cannot fill the role of both master, and servant. Instead of serving God, and becoming a part of something greater than our self, we become an island, cut off from the transforming work of grace, and the supply of the Spirit. By allowing our selfish desires to rule us, we give voices other than our creator’s access to our life.

~ Killing The Giants Of Doubt And Unbelief ~

Even though God gives you something, even though the promise of the scripture is clear, you must still appropriate it by faith, you have to take it. All the promises of God, IN HIM, are yes and amen.(2 Corinthians 1:20 ) They are available to those with courage enough to take them. Courage enough to take God at His word and stand on His promises in the face of what may seem great adversity.

Remember that God gave Israel the promise land, but THEY still had to take it? And you don’t find any prophecy about them wandering in the wilderness forty years either. They just refused to take what was rightfully theirs and continued to walk around in circles in a dry land for THE REST OF THEIR LIFE! Is that what you want to do? After they wandered around for 40 years, God gave Joshua a command to have courage and reminded him of it several times.

Deuteronomy 31:23 ~ And he gave Joshua the son of Nun a charge, and said, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou shalt bring the children of Israel into the land which I sware unto them: and I will be with thee.

We know from scripture that Joshua DID have courage and lead Israel into the promised land, but just like the previous generation, he had the option to NOT believe, to NOT have courage, to NOT fight for what God had promised. He could have entertained doubt and unbelief and complained about how hard it was to serve God just like the previous generation did … and he could have died without seeing the promise of God just like they did. So what was different about Joshua? I believe that he killed the biggest giants before he ever went to the promised land.

I am convinced that the biggest giants that we will face are the giants of DOUBT AND UNBELIEF.

Are you wandering around complaining about your circumstances or are you taking what is rightfully yours? Do you lack the courage to stand on God’s word  and appropriate what He has provided? Are you being beat up by the giants of doubt and unbelief? Take courage! Feed your spirit and strengthen your faith on God’s word. Look at the instruction that was given to Joshua after Moses died and he was passed the torch of  leadership for Israel. This is the recipe for courage and faith. This is what is needed to obtain the promises of God and enjoy, what is rightfully, your inheritance.

Joshua 1:8 ~ This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Faith in God comes by hearing His word. The most powerful way you can hear it is by SPEAKING IT YOURSELF. Daily meditation, and exposure to God’s word is essential if you are going to overcome the giants of doubt and unbelief and walk in your promise land.

Jesus taught us to pray for DAILY BREAD –  Matthew 6:11

Israel was told to gather MANNA DAILY  Exodus 16

Without this daily intake of God’s word , and walking in the Word we know, we forget who we are and what we have in Christ. We loose the strength and courage needed to walk in the promised land.

James 1:23-25 ~ 23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.

If God had something to say to you specifically, wouldn’t you want to know what it was? Wouldn’t you be curious? Do you think that if He personally spoke to you that you would be able to believe what He said and NOT doubt? I think that most Christians don’t realize that the bible is GOD SPEAKING TO US. The answer to every problem can be found in His word. The strength and courage needed to kill the giants of doubt and unbelief are found there. Don’t approach the bible as just a book or even a holy scripture, but read it for the purpose of knowing Him, approach it as if God is getting ready to speak to you, …because He is.

~ Having Faith To Move Your Mountains ~

I am totally convinced that speaking God‘s word consistently WILL bring change to your life. You could not beat it out of me! You have the ability to shape your future with the words that you are speaking today. You should be declaring today the things that you desire tomorrow. If you have mountains in your life that you want removed, do what the bible says; TALK TO IT.

Job 22:28 ~ Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.

You don’t just establish something overnight, it takes consistency. You must discipline yourself to speak the truth of God’s word on a regular basis. I believe that this is the key to have faith confessions work for you.

Proverbs 18:21 ~ Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.

Your words have power, so don’t forget to keep the power turned up, and not just turned up, but turned up and tuned in on the right channel! The channel of faith, success and blessing, not the channel of doubt, failure and unbelief.

Consistency is the one factor that will always poke a hole right in the devils kingdom, he has no defense against a man or woman who will speak the truth of the word and be consistent. Consistency is a force that can be effective in many ways.

If you make a decision to confess God’s word consistently, and not just “try it” for a few days or a few weeks, you will see the truth of God’s word establish strongholds of faith in your life and God’s power will begin to be evident. To remove the mountains in your life and establish strongholds of truth and a depth of faith that no devil in hell can possibly breach, you MUST lead a lifestyle of speaking God’s word. It is the “Spirit Of Faith” Romans 4:17

To establish truth in your life, you have to keep after it, no matter what you see, and no matter what your situation looks like.

Consistent confession produces the faith to move your mountains.

What Jesus said about the removal of mountains:

Mark 11:23 ~  23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

According to Jesus, the way to remove mountains is to speak to them. No bulldozer, no dynamite, just that little opening right under your nose, your mouth.

Christians in general, have a misconception of what this verse means, and it sets them up for disappointment a discouragement.

The picture that most believers have in their mind is of  a person walking up to a mountain, standing with feet spread apart, pointing a finger at the mountain, and yelling “be thou removed and cast into the sea in the name of Jesus.” Then the earth shakes, the mountain splits, and with a great explosion is hurled into the sea. Then the person walks away with a little strut in there step and says “now that’s faith folks, and that’s how its done.”

Now, I’m not saying that it cannot happen like that, it has , and it still can. But the truth of the matter is, that for most people, most of the time, after speaking to the mountain, the mountain is still there. This is the point where most Christians lose heart and faint.

Then the devil comes and tells them that “this faith stuff is for the birds. You know it works for brother and sister so and so, but it will never work for you.” And the devil beats them before they ever get started.

Let me paint a different picture for you, one that is a little more realistic.

You walk out your door one morning and you see this huge mountain looming in front of you. You point to the mountain and say with authority “mountain be removed in the name of  Jesus Christ and be cast into the sea!” And the mountain does not move. You get your bible out, you look up half a dozen scriptures that tell you that you HAVE BEEN REDEEMED from this particular mountain and you speak them out loud and declare that you receive that promise from the Lord.

You get up the next morning and you see that the mountain is still there, but you are not moved by what you see because you’re a person of faith and you are standing on the unchangeable authority of the word of God. You speak to the mountain again. “Mountain I said you are removed in the name of Jesus Christ cast into the sea. You are removed from my life according to the word of God.” The mountain doesn’t move. So you go to work and come back and the mountain is still there.

Two months go by and you are speaking to that mountain every day, you’ve posted sticky notes of all the scriptures that you are standing on all over the house and yet you still see no change. Six months go by with you still speaking to that mountain and you don’t see any difference at all.

Then one day your friend stops by and says, “ Did you know that the mountain outside your door is only half the size it was six months ago?” You just smile and keep right on speaking to the mountain every day. A few more weeks go by and you’re coming home from work and you see a bunch of people surveying that mountain so you stop to ask,  “what’s going on?” The surveyor says, “something funny is going on inside this mountain, the ground is shifting and we can’t figure out why.” You just smile and drive away, and that’s when the Lord gives you a song in your heart about the mountain being removed.

So the days roll by and you just keep speaking to that mountain, calling those things that are not manifest as if they are already done, and eventually the mountain erodes away, is washed into the small creeks and then into the bigger rivers, and from the rivers, is washed into the sea.

Welcome to the real world!

Just because you’ve tried faith confessions for six weeks and you don’t see any results, that doesn’t mean that nothing is taking place.

You released creative power the fist time you spoke the word, the creative power that builds faith in the human spirit. The power  to establish a mighty stronghold of faith in your own heart.

Before you see any manifestations in the physical realm, you must first get the word established in your heart. The heart is the first place that you will notice results from confessing truth. Things are always won in the spirit before you see a manifestation in the natural realm.

Proverbs 18:20 ~ 20 A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.

When Proverbs talks about the belly, its not talking about the place you stuff food in three times a day. Its talking about the core of your being. Its talking about the inner man, the heart, your spirit.

If you can be diligent enough to speak God’s word until your own heart is filled, no devil in hell can keep you from obtaining the promise of God.

Satan wants to do one of two things, to keep you out of faith. He wants to either starve you or poison you. I hate to give Satan any credit, but he has done a fair job of both. I see people all the time that have great potential, they even know the word, but they don’t take the time to keep themselves filled, so they walk around starved in their spirit.

And then I see other folks that are constantly filling themselves, but they fill up on poison, bad doctrine, and half-truths, and they are just as bad, if not worse, than the first bunch.

Hebrews 11:6 ~ But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

What pleases God is faith, plain and simple. And the time that it takes each day to build  faith in your heart, is a small price to pay to please Him.

Just sayin~ JC

~ Knowing The Source Of Your Problems ~

Ephesians 6:12 ~ For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age,  against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

This clearly defines the target; our enemy is spiritual. Be very clear that the cause of most of your problems, and ALL of your attacks have a spiritual source.

So much of a believer’s time is wasted, energy expended, and injury incurred because we exhaust ourselves battling people (flesh and blood) instead of the spiritual forces at work in a situation. In the process of attempting to wrestle believers into defeat in their personal lives, the devil attempts to divert the force of our “spiritual” warfare toward others—in our families, our churches, our work place and community.

The devil knows full well these two things:

(1) if we start fighting other people, they will certainly oblige us and fight back.

(2) that if we start fighting each other, we will never get around to defeating him.

So, whatever (or whoever) you face today, make up your mind about the conflict. Our enemy is the devil. As we make war in prayer and make peace with those around us, the devil stands no chance of succeeding in our lives.

~Healing Scriptures and Faith Confessions~

If you need healing in your body or you want to build your faith for health and healing, read these scriptures and say the confessions out loud on a regular basis.

1 Peter 2:24 ~ Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

~ SAY THIS ~  Thank you Lord for baring my sins in your own body on the cross, that I, being dead to sins, could live unto righteousness. By your stripes Lord, I am healed.

Psalm 107:20 ~ He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

~SAY THIS ~ I thank you Lord for sending your word and healing me, and delivering me from all my destruction.

Exodus 23:25 ~ And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

~SAY THIS ~ I serve you Lord God, and I thank you for blessing my bread and water, and taking sickness away from the midst of me.

Exodus 15:26 ~ And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

~SAY THIS ~ I diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord my God, and I do that which is right in his sight. I give ear to His commandments, and I keep all His statutes, and the Lord allows no disease to come upon me, for He is the Lord that heals me.

Isaiah 53:5 ~ But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

~ SAY THIS ~ I thank you Lord, that you were wounded for my transgressions and bruised for my iniquities. The chastisement of my peace was upon you, and with your stripes I am healed.

Romans 8:11 ~ 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

~ SAY THIS ~ The Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in me. And He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken my mortal body by His Spirit that dwells in me.

~The Battle Within~

One evening an old Apache War Chief told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said,”My son, the battle between two wolves is inside us all. One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, greed, arrogance, selfishness, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.”

The grandson thought about this for a minute and then asked his grandfather: “Which wolf wins?”

The old War Chief simply replied, “The one you feed.”

This is an old story. Maybe you have heard it before, but the truth is real. Consider what things you are feeding and what things you are starving in your life. Keep in mind that the words you speak have spiritual power that feeds and gives life to certain areas of your life. Jesus said that God’s Word is Spirit and Life.

John 6:63 ~ It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

The Word of God is full of commands to speak the Word of God, to keep it before you and in your mouth. Bible confessions are a valuable tool in winning the battle within. Build your faith and strengthen your heart by feeding that “Good Wolf” the Word of God on a daily basis by reading and speaking God’s Word.

Deuteronomy 30:18-20 ~ 14 But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it. 15 “See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil, 16 in that I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the LORD your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess.

Proverbs 18:21 ~ Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit.

Joshua 1:8 ~ This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

~ “Too Big For Your Britches” FAITH ~

After 24 years of learning about, teaching about, and operating in faith. One of the things that I don’t see addressed much is STARTING WHERE YOU ARE IN YOUR FAITH.

So what does that mean? Let me give you a couple of stories that will make the point.

True story: A minister I know is diagnosed with cancer. The doctors said it was very serious and wanted to operate immediately. This minister is a regional director for one of the biggest Faith organizations in the world. He is very comfortable with simply believing God for his total healing and NOT having the operation. After all, he preaches and teaches the Faith message virtually ALL the time. He is not worried. The man is FULL of faith and has no doubt that he will receive his healing.

His wife however could not agree with him. Not because she  doesn’t want to. Not because she doesn’t believe God can do it, she is afraid that He won’t. She is gripped with fear and insists that he get the operation.

The minister sought council with his Elder and received some advice I will never forget. This Elder said: “ Don’t try to get your wife to believe past her capabilities, she will undermine your faith and you will both be in a mess. Find the point where you two can agree and build from there. Your prayers and faith won’t be hindered and in fact, you will be ten times more powerful in your faith.”

Now THAT is practical, sound wisdom. The minister had the operation, his wife was able to agree with him and now he is completely healed some 16 years later.

If he had NOT agreed with his wife and got the operation they would not have been in faith TOGETHER and he would have had to deal with unbelief in his own household, which would have put additional strain on his faith, his marriage, and opened the door for strife and division to come in and possibly make shipwreck of his faith.

Another scenario that I have seen a thousand times concerning finances, and this is important:

You have Christians that are at, or just above poverty level and they are TRYING to believe for huge amounts of money and stuff. God does not have a problem with them believing for stuff, as long as their heart is right. The thing is, they are trying to believe past their capabilities and they are setting themselves up for disappointment.

Growing in faith is a process. Faith is very much like a muscle, the more you work it, the stronger it gets. You have to start with smaller weights and exercise at that level before you can lift the really big stuff. And you need to be able to believe for a pair of shoes before you can believe for a new Corvette. Or believe for healing from the flu before you try to tackle cancer.

This is why it is so important to constantly exercise your faith on small stuff whenever the opportunity arises. Some folks will catch a cold and let it beat their brains out without ever trying to use their faith on it. (ask me how I know) That same person claims to be in faith to pay off all their credit cards and receive a new home completely paid for.  Ummm  …. Sorry, I don’t buy it.

When you try to tackle something in the spirit that is too big for you, you actually HURT your faith. You cripple yourself and hinder your spiritual progress. Your hope gets deferred and you falter in your faith.

Proverbs 13:12 ~ Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when the
desire comes, it is a tree of life.

I looked the word “sick” up in the Strong’s concordance; it means “to split apart as with an opening wedge.” That paints a clear picture doesn’t it? Your heart (spirit man) is what you believe with. If that thing is torn in two you got a real problem. Proverbs tells us to guard our heart.

Proverbs 4:23 ~ Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it
spring the issues of life.

Make sure you are not biting off more than you can chew. Reevaluate what you are in faith for and make sure you can really see it through. I am not suggesting that you don’t stretch your faith and believe big. Just don’t bite off more than your spiritual teeth can chew. Don’t be afraid to take baby steps, we all have to start where we are. It is better to start out small and add to it rather than trying to swallow too much and having to spit it out.

Remember that a healthy faith is a growing faith. You should be constantly experiencing faith victories and seeing the results of God honoring your faith. Be selective about what you put your faith on and be diligent to see it through. It is BIG fun to see God supernaturally answer the small prayers. Have faith, but be practical and have fun.

Don’t try to be bigger and stronger than you are. It ultimately hurts your faith and makes it more difficult the next time you have a faith battle. If you acknowledge where you are and operate at that level, God Himself has the right to step in and take up the slack where you need Him too.

Disarming Fear – Freedom from Fear

Freedom from Fear (f.e.a.r.)

False Evidence Appearing Real

There is no fear in love; but perfect loves cast out fear: because fear has torment.

Faith and fear do not co-exist they cancel each other.

Both faith and fear are unshakable beliefs in an unseen future. Neither is merely emotional. But both are spiritual forces. The only difference between the two is that one believes that God will come through for you. The other believes He wont.

God says that He has not given you a spirit of fear, but, He has given you a spirit of love and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.) They are your most powerful weapons in your battle for freedom as you deal with the emotions of fear, doubt, and worry. God’s love wins the battle for you!

God’s Power +Yourself discipline = a powerful force

Love drives out fear, but where do we find perfect Love? The only place where you can experience perfect Love is in an intimate relationship with your heavenly

That is something that should really make us stop and think. When fear creeps up inside of you, it should raise a red flag that you need to continue deepening your relationship with God.

So how do you begin controlling emotions of fear, doubt and worry? Your faith in the unyielding love of your heavenly Father is what removes fear from your mind regardless of your circumstances.

God has promised: “ For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. The arte plans for good and not disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

5 Steps to Help You Win Your Battle Against Fear

1 Recognize the fearful thought as a threat. *2 Corinthians 10:5 We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,

2 Think of God’s promises for that situation. There is a list of some verses to get you started at the end of this post. *Joshua 1:8 Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

3Pray and tell God your concern. *Matthew 21:22 -And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”

4Praise God for His promises, and faithfulness to keep each one of them too. *Psalm 50:23 He who brings an offering of praise and thanksgiving honors and glorifies Me; and he who orders his way aright [who prepares the way that I may show him], to him I will demonstrate the salvation of God.

5 Refuse to worry about it anymore. If it comes to your mind again, confess that you have given it over to God in prayer and begin praising Him for hearing your prayers and that the prayers of the righteous avails much – *James 5:16

No matters how many times fear tries to return, continue to repeat step 5.

Eventually the devil will get the hint** . James 4:7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.I Corinthians 15:57

Verses to keep you strong and encouraged

No special formula is needed to pray over your situation. As you read and discover treasures in God’s word, mark them, and pray them over you in faith. Use your own words if you want to, but do pray His truths. Pray believing and expecting the blessing and love of God to breathe faith and life over you and it will! —– For example – Psalm 23:4 You could say, confess or pray – Even when I walk through difficult or scary situations I will not dread or be in fear because God is with me. He protects me and guides me. I am safe.

(Just a sample of the many verses on this topic found in the Bible.)

Psalm 23:4 Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me.

1 John 4:4Little children, you are of God [you belong to Him] and have [already] defeated and overcome them [the agents of the antichrist], because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world.

Isaiah 54:14 You shall establish yourself in righteousness (rightness, in conformity with God’s will and order): you shall be far from even the thought of oppression or destruction, for you shall not fear, and from terror, for it shall not come near you.

Psalm 91:10-11There shall no evil befall you, nor any plague or calamity come near your tent. For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways [of obedience and service.

2 Timothy 1:7 For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.

Isaiah 41:10 Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice.

1 John 4:18 \There is no fear in love [dread does not exist], but full-grown (complete, perfect) love turns fear out of doors and expels every trace of terror! For fear brings with it the thought of punishment, and [so] he who is afraid has not reached the full maturity of love [is not yet grown into love’s complete perfection].

Psalm 18:2The Lord is my Rock, my Fortress, and my Deliverer; my God, my keen and firm Strength in Whom I will trust and take refuge, my Shield, and the Horn of my salvation, my High Tower.

Philippians 4:13 I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].

Philippians 4:6 Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.

Luke 1:37For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome.

Joshua 1:9Have not I commanded you? Be strong, vigorous, and very courageous. Be not afraid, neither be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.

James 4:7 So be subject to God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him], and he will flee from you.

James 5:16 Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].

Disarming Fear Before the Explosion Comes

~ Faith Confessions For Your Children ~

Children are a heritage from the Lord. God says they are like arrows in the hand of a warrior. What a powerful statement!

~ Psalm 127:3-5 ~ 3 Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward. 4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth. 5 Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; they shall not be ashamed, but shall speak with their enemies in the gate.

We have a responsibility to raise up our children in a way that they become our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Our children have a will of their own. Sometimes that will can be very strong. Normally, your faith cannot override another persons will if they refuse to agree with you in faith, however your children are under your covering and you DO have spiritual authority over them wether they are grown up and running from God or being raised in your home as a child.

God has some things to say about your kids. Promises that are eternal and available, but you must obtain them by faith. Speaking HIS words over their life will build your faith for these promises and help shape and mold them into what He intended them to be.

Like “arrows in the hand of a warrior,” you can launch them into adulthood with confidence that they will hit their mark, find their place, and be an effective, productive brother or sister in Christ.

SAY THIS ~ All of my children are taught of the Lord, and great is their peace. ~ Isaiah 54:13 ~

SAY THIS ~ I am blessed because I fear the Lord and delight greatly in His commandments. My descendants will be mighty on the earth and be blessed. Wealth and riches are in my house and my righteousness endures forever. I am gracious and full of compassion. I guide my affairs with discretion. I will never be shaken. I am not afraid of evil tidings. My heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord.          ~ Psalm 112:2-4 ~

SAY THIS ~ I am the seed of the blessed of the Lord, and my offspring with me. ~ Isaiah 65:23 ~

SAY THIS ~ The Lord will contend with him who contends with me, and He will save my children ~ Isaiah 49:24-26 ~
